Darcy has been in the construction industry for over three decades, specializing in commercial flooring and general contracting. He has completed commercial projects across the United States, with his main focus in Florida. He regularly volunteers his time and skill, performing a variety of construction work, for non-profit organizations. Throughout his years of working in construction, Darcy has become an expert craftsman. His clients appreciate and rely on his attention to detail, collaborative nature, and ability to keep a project on, or ahead of, schedule. Darcy’s inspiration stems from the design, architecture, and craftsmanship he has observed during his many travels to Europe, with his favorite destination being Rome.
Gary V. Gionfriddo

As the patriarch of the family, Gary brings his many years of expertise to each construction project. He specializes in luxury residential remodels and additions. Gary’s work can be seen in many elite communities in the Palm Beach, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton areas. His clients appreciate his longstanding reputation, no-nonsense business style, and the relationships he has forged with other professionals in the South Florida area. It brings Gary immense joy and satisfaction to work with his family. Gary is also an avid sports fan, specifically basketball, and enjoys attending sporting events with his sons, sons-in-law, and grandsons.
Darbe Gionfriddo
Project Manager/Treasurer
Darbe has over three decades of experience in construction and property restoration, as well as being a licensed public insurance adjuster and Realtor®. Darbe efficiently manages subcontractors, ensuring the build schedule is adhered to and the work is completed to the highest standard possible. He excels at managing the expectations of our elite clientele and talented subcontractors during luxury residential renovations. Presently, Darbe is providing ongoing construction management services at the premier Sundy Village in Delray Beach, Florida, where he has lived for over 26 years. When Darbe is not working, he is volunteering or spending time with his wife, two kids, and two labradoodles.
Tyler Gionfriddo
Project Coordinator/Executive Secretary
Tyler is the third generation in the construction industry, allowing him to draw on a wealth of multi-generational knowledge. He specializes in residential remodeling and construction in the Costa Mesa area. Tyler has also volunteered his skills, performing construction work, for non-profit organizations across Southern California. His clients appreciate his fresh perspective, paired with a traditional craftsman approach. Tyler expertly mixes his knowledge of current design trends with time-honored building principles. When he’s not working, Tyler can probably be found reading about, working on, or collecting cars, which are one of his greatest passions.
Erin Gionfriddo
Executive Assistant
Erin has been an integral part of Buildup Construction, Inc. since the very beginning. Her customer service, administrative, and professional experience culminate in excellence in her role. Clients appreciate her friendliness, professionalism, and unique style. She and her husband, Gary, a Licensed General Contractor, have spent much time working for a non-profit organization, ensuring a safe work environment. Their years of experience on construction job sites proved invaluable as they achieved zero incident projects. When Erin isn’t working, she loves spending time with her four children and four grandchildren, whom she loves very much.
Simone Gionfriddo
Regulatory & Permitting Assistant
Simone supports the regulatory and permitting aspects of construction projects. Clients, as well as employees of the municipalities, appreciate her accuracy, organization, and clear communication. She is a junior at the University of Florida studying geographic information systems and geospatial analysis with a focus in law. She is currently working on a research project analyzing the impact of superfund sites on disadvantaged communities and its implications on land use law.
